     About Us

Chinese Bowling Congress (C.B.C.) is a non-profit organization
       devoted to:
  • Promote and foster the sport of bowling;

  • Provide networking opportunities within the Chinese community.

 C.B.C. organizes bowling leagues, tournaments, special events and activities for our members throughout the year such as award banquets (twice a year), boat cruise, picnic, casino night etc.  C.B.C. will be celebrating its 21st successful years in 2006.

 Through the effort of the C.B.C. Board of Directors over the years, close connections were established with the Chinese community and various businesses in the Toronto area.  It is through these connections, C.B.C. have many opportunities to work with community groups, business, and charitable organizations for the betterment of the Chinese community and businesses.  Many of our present and past board members are leaders in their respective professions.

 The organization is managed and operated by volunteers.  Continuous support from the volunteers, bowlers, the business community and generous sponsors are keys to the success of C.B.C. in the past 20 years.  Through the support of the community and volunteers, C.B.C. has grown to be the largest Chinese bowling organization in North American:

  • 340+ active registered members,

  • Manages four bowling leagues year round,

  • Organizes four bowling tournaments each year (three of the four annual tournaments are sponsored by media companies such as newspapers and TV station. The fourth tournament is targeted for charity purposes in cooperation with the Toronto Cathay Lions Club)

 C.B.C. launched the official Web site in 2000 (http://cbcbowling.com/) to provide additional service to our bowler and the bowling community.  The Web site offers useful information on bowling equipment, hot link to bowling equipment manufacturer, current C.B.C. league information such as tournament and league rules and regulation, prize money, bowler average, and a forum for bowler feedback.  This is a site regularly visited by most of our bowlers as well as bowlers in North America.
